The Power of Antioxidants

Remeber the comercial with the little girl that says “The antioxidants will protect me”? Well, that is not far from the truth! I used to sware by products like Sudafed Cold and cough whenever I would get a bad cold and soar throat. Don’t get me wrong, remedies like th is work, but, when I tried using Rose Ox and/or Shizandra Plus, I couldn’t believe the difference. Let the antioxidants do the work. What I usually do is take one or two dosages of the over the counter meds and then use antioxidants throughout the rest of the day. Relying on the strength of the powerful antioxidants to help not only deal with my symptoms, but to help fight against them. Some of the most unexpected foods have been found to have high levels of antioxidants. While everybody knows that blueberries are a powerhouse of antioxidants, very few people know that the humble bean could also have equally high levels of antioxidants.
I believe that drugs have there place….but good foods keep our bodies much more in balance than synthetic materials we put into our bodies.
While I do agree that some foods can have high levels of antioxidants, the trouble comes from not eating what we should here. There are times that having antioxidants in pill form is more convenient. – Thanks!
