In the previous article, I touched on ideas to help you cut the budget to get the weight off. By focusing on those suggestions, you can create your own momentum to loosing weight. It is not written that you need to spend lots of money to loose lots of weight. Though, weight loss companies don’t what you to realize that. Again, Yes, I used Herbalife and loved it and am thankful that I found it. But, when money matters, there are weighs to win the battle of the bulge. You can’t let money be the dictator when it comes to your health. Here are more suggestions:
1. Yogurt – Yoplait is worth about 2 Weight Watchers points, I just love the White Chocolate Strawberry. Yeah, and I never used to like Yogurt too!
2. Progresso soups – Some have the point value right on the can.
3. Zero Calorie Products – While you do have to understand that zero calories doesn’t guarantee that it’s healthy, it does help with your efforts on weight loss, thus not taking in calories.
4. Recipe Changes – Change your recipes using applesauce in place of some oils or butters. You may have to experiment with this to taste.
5. Recipe ideas – There are a variety of books available with weight loss recipes that are quite tasty. Check out Borders, Amazon and other stores.
Sometimes you have to change your menu and way of eating to get the job done. If there is something in your life that you are not controlling, be careful, it may be controlling you. Food that is or what is making you eat more than you need? If you really want to loose weight, you’ll start making the right choices to get there and realizing that it will take time.

During my weight loss journey and when I lost my 20 pounds, one thing that I may not have mentioned was that I was laid off for 2 years and the only income coming in was from my wife and one other source. That was a huge drop for us. I did indeed make use of Herbalife products and they did play a significant role in my progress. But, I later found out that there are things that can be done when the budget crunches. So, I compiled a list for you to use:
1. Portion Control – This is important all the time (Eating less lowers food bill)
2. Purchase locally – While there are a lot of really good weight loss companies, sometimes purchasing locally is your best alternative especially to avoid the shipping charges. Weight Watches provides a lot of really good food products.
3. Exercise – Get active and burn those calories, you can usually do this for FREE
4. Coupons – Find them, cut them, and use them!
5. Grocery List – Start making your grocery list around what is on sale at your grocery store instead the the way you have been (in addition to your coupons and Weight Watchers food items).
Ok, now why am I pushing Weight Watchers you ask? No, I am not affiliated with them and no, this is not an advertisement. I myself use their products and their point system to help my efforts. You can find Weight Watchers products at your local grocery store (and Walmart). The advantage of using Weight Watchers products is their point system to help with portion control. By using their products you are accomplishing 2 things. (1) – Portion control and (2), saving money by purchasing locally.
Your commitment and determination is needed to pull you through to achieving your goals.

More and more people are becoming weight consience these days. Weight concerns vary among people regardless of age. One concern we all face is the price tag. One thing you need to consider when starting a weight loss program is that you are not adding to your food bill, but replacing items on your food bill. Take for instance the Shapeworks Ultimate Protien Plus weight loss program. The cost is listed at $212.30. That may seem like a lot, but, lets look at the breakdown:
For the cost noted above, that breaksdown to about $7.08 per day for 2 meals or $3.54 per meal per day for 30 days. So, if you replace breakfast and lunch with this program, and have a healthy meal for dinner, you just saved some money. This cost includes healthy snacks that come with this program. It can be hard to get one meal for that price at a restaurant. So, in addition to weight loss that works and tastes good, it saves too!
If you stick to the program for 13 days, you’ll start seeing the results you are
looking for. There are other programs available to fit your budget and goals. I’ve used most of these products and can say that this is weight loss that tastes great!
