Running is the  easiest and accessible sport for everyone to take advantage of today.  Unfortunately, there are many who don’t take advantage of it.  In fact, many don’t get active at all with any kind of sport.  This is a shame too.  Chronic inactivity and obesity are known to yield many diseases, which could be avoided simply by getting active.  Getting away from being inactive can lead one into a fun and exciting new reality.  If you excuse the saying, “Just because you grow up, doesn’t mean you can’t have fun anymore”.

Let the little kid in you escape.

Having a healthy diversion is good for everyone.  Getting active yields many benefits, such as, mental clarity, weight management, & muscle tone.

What’s a matter?  Are you afraid someone will see you out on the road running when you could be on the couch all comfy?  When I started running, it was right smack in the middle of when I was depressed.  Talk about being very hard to get out there, but, I did! Got sneakers? Can Run!

Now, if weight is not an issue for you, sure, you’re lucky, but, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be active.  You don’t want to fall under the realm of chronic inactivity.  Ironically, there is some truth to the saying “All work and no play, makes {you} a dull person”.

There are some videos in the video vault regarding running.

If you are not sure what you want to do, you can check out NEWU or refer to other posts on running.

How much of a rebellion are you part of when it comes to weight loss? Are you this bad? — Star Wars Weight Watchers:

It’s amazing how making simple choices can lead to huge outcomes. If you start making changes now, in a while, those little changes will start a ball rolling that will make a big difference in your life. Nothing good happens over night and without effort. No one said that it had to cost much too! Let’s say that weight loss is your goal. Here are a few choices you could start with:

1. Control your portions: Start limiting your portions to a reasonable size and stop eating excessively.
2. Nutrition Labels: Pay attention to the Nutrition Labels on any food or drink items.
3. Vitamins: Get some, such as a multi-vitamin.
4. Exercise: You don’t have to belong to a gym for this one
5. Research: Get online and learn more!
This is a good starting point to get that ball rolling and your feet moving. After a while, you’ll begin to notice a new you. Be patient, it’l take some time, but you are worth it. Oh, don’t let age keep you from making changes. It was April of 1997 when I became a runner at age 34. Changing your life makes all the difference in the world. A year later, I gave up alcohol (beer) and haven’t looked back since. There were those who said I was crazy for not drinking beer anymore. Well, if they knew what I know now. I’m not complaining. By giving up beer, you also give up certain eating habits that go along with alcohol. I admit, that I completely removed beer and some other items from my life, but you don’t have to do as I did. You can try and limit those items to start with. Then later give them up as you want.
Start making small choices today, and tomorrow, you will start reaping the rewards of those simple choices.

Recapping, you’ve cut away the excuses, developed positive reasons and conquered some fear on your way to defeating YOU, your worst enemy. That’s a good foundation in moving you in the right direction in getting healthier and/or loosing weight.

Now, lets do it! Let’s finish the defeat of You! It’s hard work, yes, it’s hard work and it’s not easy to achieve what you are looking for. You simply just have to work at it day by day, month by month and so fourth. It’s not a DIET, but a LIFESTYLE change that you have to accept. So here are your steps:

1. Eliminate the excuses
2. Develop good reasons
3. Conquer the fear and be true to yourself
4. exercise 3 days a week (or work up to that)
5. get on a weight loss program (or management program)
6. join a weight loss challenge (for support and motivation)
7. realize that weight loss doesn’t happen over night
8. be patient
9. Understand that you WILL win!
10. Still having trouble, start over with item #1 above

Free consultation and BMI testing available, contact us anytime!

You can do this, and it starts and stop with you! It’s time for your worst enemy to loose and for You to Win!!!

I’m sure there are some that may say, Hey! I really don’t have the money right now. And that is fine. There are those times where this is a valid excuse. However, there are those who hide behind this excuse. Now, let’s start looking at Defeating that Enemy – You!

We already covered step #1 in the process of defeating the enemy, and that is identifying some excuses that can hinder progress. Now, let’s dig a little deeper.

Ok, as asked in the post “Are You Your Worst enemy?“, you need to ask yourself, “Am I being True to myself?” After you get past the excuses and start replacing the excuses with reasons why you should get into action and either loose weight and/or start getting healthier. Once you start having positive reasons instead of negative excuses, your motivation will start to increase.

Fear can also be a de-motivator that helps you create excuses instead of good reasons to get into action. So, after you throw away all the excuses, start developing reasons, and your fear starts subsiding, your motivation will increase even more.

At this point you have started to defeat the enemy within – You!. The foundation that has kept you where you’ve been has started to collapse. Change is not always easy, so don’t beat yourself up if you find change hard. Taking baby steps thus working towards change does work.

Are you True to yourself? Or, are you on a See Food Diet (See food you eat it)? Here’s the problem: If you eat everything in site and you are not burning enough calories to compensate for the intake, well, then, the food has got to go somewhere, doesn’t it. After all, if you put trash in a trash can, doesn’t the can get full after a while? Well, so do you and you’ll keep growing if you are not watching what you are eating and burning enough calories to compensate for it.
Ok, the light bulb turns on and it hits you, Oh my word, I have to loose weight, so now, the breaks are hit and you try to find the best way to loose weight and it seems like it’s going to take forever to get where you want to go, right? Well, Wrong! Keeping in mind that it’s recommended to loose 1 to 2 pounds a week, following Herbalife’s weight loss program will get you there. While you don’t have to exercise to do this, it is recommended as it does help!

Isn’t it time to see the light? Sometimes it takes changing one’s habits, making sacrifices, and eliminating some things from your diet to get the ball rolling. If you are reading this and you are feeling like this is you, that the time is come, I do offer a FREE consultation with BMI testing with no obligation. Your only obligation is whether or not you are being true to yourself by staying the course. Stop being your worst enemy and start being your own best friend!

If you’ve ever felt like saying OUCH while reading any of my posts, don’t feel bad, I too have said that when I learned something new. It’s just that when I post helpful articles, it’s for the purpose of educating and motivating people. I’m as truthful and factual as I can. It’s not for the purpose of hurting feelings or rubbing salt in wounds. I try to say it like it is based upon the information that comes across my desk. The end purpose of AboveNBeyond4u is to help YOU get what YOU need both in information and product.

I don’t hold back, I explain topics based upon both experience and product information/education. I have to think of it this way, “If you said Ouch, than I accomplished something”. — You’ve learned something!

There is nothing wrong with collecting Ouch Points as long as you know where to cash them in at.

With the fast paced world we live in, constantly being bombarded with Fast Food commercials and always being on the go. Who has time to stop and make a healthy meal?

If this is how you feel or what you think, start saying OUCH! You have more time than you think to prepare an easy healthy meal. Within a couple of minutes, you’ll have a very healthy meal replacement shake in your hands and gone in the next few minutes thus satisfying you until lunch or supper (dinner). If in the meantime you start feeling hungry, no problem, grab a protein snack, and you are good to go.

For a good many of us, we’ve gone through life developing or adapting habits that have lead to our current realities. Then when we realize what has happened, we go into panic mode or start feeling inadequate or down because of how we look. We’ve all been programmed to think we need a whole lot of food to be satisfied. Not any more! It’s time for a huge wake up call. By my making these changes, I’ve lost over 15 pounds in a little over 3 months. I have more energy, feel better, and loving every minute!

How about another OUCH? You have to be willing to start making changes in your life to change the direction of weight gain and turn it into weight loss. This can mean giving up some habits to achieve your new desired reality. Starvation is NOT one of the changes needed to get you on that new track. So, replace the word starvation with 2 words – “Portion Control”. You do have to eat to loose weight.
