One thing that I have noticed during my efforts is that regardless of what your goals are, there is one key factor that makes are breaks your efforts. It doesn’t matter what you are doing to loose the weight or burn the fat. It doesn’t matter what combination of things you are doing to achieve your goals. The key that I am talking about is your focus. You staying at what you are doing. Never stopping or giving up. Now if you have a bad couple of days, those 2 days will not cave your efforts. Just get back at it right away. It’s your non stop, consistent focus and effort that will get you across the finish line to achieving your goals. For the active part that you do to burn calories, you need to find something that excites you and empowers you to keep yourself motivated on your journey. There are a lot of good websites listed in our Suggested Links page that can help you with your efforts. This list keeps growing as more are sources are found.

Yes, there are a lot of good weight loss supplements, programs and exercises available to help you, but, unless you get yourself properly focused and your head is in the game, you are probably spinning your wheels and/or getting stuck in the mud.

You could go by the fact that “Oh, I’m not that bad” or “I’m not alone”, but, those statements are just a way of accepting denial or masking the truth of how you really feel.

They key is you and you developing a whole new lifestyle for yourself.

Did you ever wonder why no matter how hard you try, you don’t seem to loose much weight or achieve your goals? Week after week, try as you might, you barely get anywhere. There is a reason for this. Fortunately, the reason has a lot to do with you. It’s fortunate, because this means you can do something about it. You have to figure out what is causing you not to meet your goals. Get to the root of your problem. Until you deal with what ever the issue is, you’ll be at a wall. Walls are made to be broken and not a permanent barrier. If your goal is to loose weight and you are barely getting anywhere, you need to look at what is going on to causing you not to meet your goals here.

Ask these questions to start with:

1. Are you over eating?
2. How active are you?
3. Is there any stresses in your life other than your weight loss goals?

Until you discover the root cause of what is influencing your actions, you will be at a wall. You need to find and deal with what ever is causing your problem in order to bet over the wall.

The same can be applied to just about anything including finances. Like, what is causing your overspending? What stress is influencing your actions?

It comes down to you and what you are dealing with subconsciously. Once you get to this point, you can start making choices or taking proper actions to make these issues less prevalent in your life.

In a nutshell, you can’t or shouldn’t have one without the other when it comes to Fitness and Nutrition. There are those who are only focused on weight loss and are not even considering the nutrition factor. All they care about is the end result. One person I can think of wants to loose weight so bad, that he has actually said quite frequently that “I want to get swine flu so I can loose weight”. My reaction to that is “how crazy is that!” People have died because of Swine Flu, and this guy doesn’t seem to get the point.
Anyway, Nutrition is like having a sound and strong foundation for your health. You need the “right stuff” going on inside to help fortify your life. There is no exaggeration to the saying that “you are what you eat”. If all you are concerned with is fitness and/or loosing weight and you don’t consider the nutrition factor, then that would be like building a house on a weak foundation.

There are many ways to combine the two sides of this issue. Follow your fitness plans and goals and have a good meal plan. One way for a good meal plan is to consider Weight Watchers. They have a great point system that I too use. And, there are some soups (Progresso) and other Weight Watcher food products at your local grocery store that have the Weight Watchers points right on the package or can so you can gauge yourself accordingly.
Wow, what a great way to work on Portion Control.
Membership can have it’s privileges, if you join Weight Watchers, you can purchase some of their merchandise, some of which includes a special calculator to help calculate your daily points when assisting with portion control. You can also get other literature that provides the point breakdown for food items which can be very beneficial to your goals. No, this article is not an advertisement for Weight Watchers, even if it sounds like it is. I’m trying to point out one way to achieve good nutrition while loosing weight at the same time.

When dealing with other issues like getting over a sickness or injury, paying off a mortgage etc, weight loss is no different then these issues. It doesn’t happen over night.
Patients, discipline, focus and effort all play apart in achieving goals. On the other hand, fear, emotions, doubt and lack of confidence can lead to interfering with making the effort or continuing the effort of achieving your weight loss (or other) goals. Make a commitment and stick to it. You’ll get there. Basically, it took you a while to get overweight, and it will take you a while to loose it too. Never starve yourself to loose weight, because you actually need to eat to loose weight.

One thing that people tend to forget or not think of is that you need to think of this as a change of lifestyle and not a diet. Diet signifies short term. The problem is if you don’t let go of those bad habits, you could get right back to where you started from and you don’t ant that. What do you got to loose by working at loosing weight? Weight ?? Go for it! How will you be 6 months from now?

In another blog of mine, I wrote some articles using the above title line and thought it appropriate to use in this blog. In this case, What you should not spare is your efforts. Even if you have a bad couple of days, just pick up the pieces and get going. You need to stay consistent with your efforts and you will achieve you goals. A few bad days will not rock your boat. Remember that what you should be working on is a lifestyle and not a diet. Diets don’t work because they signify short term efforts. If your plan is to work a plan until you reach your goal and then return to how you used to be, you will return to how you used to be!

The advantage about our weight loss programs is that once you reach your goal, they change from a weight loss program to a weight management program. If you are on a weight loss program from Herbalife and you are not getting your desired results, then one of the following could be the reason why:

1. According to your BMI and other stats, you are in your appropriate weight range.
1. You have reached your goal and/or your body isn’t ready to loose anymore weight
2. Your plan needs updated or adjusted to your current weight and needs
3. You are not staying consistent with the plan that your Nutrition Coach made for you.

These are just some of the main reasons that you could be facing if you are not seeing any results.
