I was raiding the fridge before starting this post and was wondering what I could eat for a snack. A great snack idea hit me dead on.
What I found was slices of tomatoes and cucumber sticks all ready to eat in a plastic container. So, my first thought was, hey, they are FREE! No Weight Watchers Points. So, I took 2 slices of tomatoes, and 4 cucumber sticks. I added salt and pepper. I also got a little bit of salad dressing which wasn’t FREE, though, I didn’t use very much. It meant for a great tasty snack as I began composing this post.
Here are some more tasty ideas:
Blueberry Smoothie – About 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries with 1/2 cup of orange Juice, and 1/2 cup of yogurt and blend until smooth. This drink comes packed with fiber, potassium, and vitamins. This drink can help with post workout soreness. Tastes good too!
Fiber One bars - Lots of great flavors including Chocolate Mocha (my favorite). With only 140 calories, 4 fat grams and 9 grams dietary fiber, this tasty snack delivers only 2 Weight Watchers points.
Bagel Thins – Thomas Bagel Thins and Garden Vegetable Cream Cheese, 1 bagel thin (2 pieces) and 2 table spoons of the garden vegetable makes for a great snack. Comes to a value of 3 Weight Watchers Points (1 point for the bagel thins and 2 for the cream cheese).
These ideas are not only waist friendly, they are easy on the wallet / pocket book too! Who says that you have to be stuck eating snacks that deliver lots of pounds?
