From what I’ve learned, some people have a tough time commiting to loosing weight. And it’s not what you may think either! It’s not always about the fear of failing. Some hesitate commiting to loosing weight simply because of the fear of what others will say or think. One’s peers can have a great influence on one’s actions or inactions. This can be so powerful to prevent one from taking action at all. The sad thing is that this kind of influence hurts the individual internally. The individual keeps things locked inside for a long time before coming to grips with it.

I took a very special kind of course on this matter that not everybody has access to. I know this information simply because I know someone who is battling this type of issue. It’s not easy for her at all. What seems easy for others is almost impossible at times for this person. The answer is: It’s getting to the place where you have to accept that you have to first live and love yourself to be able to get past this point. Then you have to realize that this is a real health issue and it needs taken care of. Getting to this point can take a long time and with lots of anquish.

Once a person gets to this point, then he or she needs to have enough confidence to start a weight loss program. This is where personal nutrition coaching can be a real help to an individual. Sure, it will be hard getting started. But, when trust is built between the coach and the client, going forward will get easier and easier.

Then the individual will start feeling better, gaining energy, loosing weight, building confidence in knowing that the efforts are working thus merging into a new lifestyle.
