For some, diets are a lifestyle, but, what happens is the yo yo effect where you start a diet with good intentions, reach your goal and stop. Then you revert back to your old habbits and then you find yourself back to where you started from. Then one gets started again, reaches the goal and stops. This cycle is either never ending or one simply gives up.
Diets have personna where it signifies a stopping point which is one of the reasons why diets don’t work. The only real way to win the battle of the bulge is to under go a change of lifestyle. Now, before you would go hyperactive here, I’m not suggesting giving up all your favorite foods, drinks, and other goodies. I haven’t and I reached my goal weight.
What I am suggesting is that in order to under go this change of lifestyle, you have to be ready and willing to commit to some sacrifices in order to get what you think you want. Oh, yes, I did say “think” what you want. Why did I say that? Here is where you may want to slap me or send me a nasty email. Here is what I meant: When you are at a point where you “think” you know what you want, you may not be fully ready to commit to a change of lifestyle. When You know what you want then, nothing else matters and you will stop at nothing to loose weight and commit to the lifestyle change. You have to get it together if you are ever going to commit to a lifestyle change. The same logic refers to going in debt as I mentioned in a earlier post. Until you reach the point where you know what you want and nothing else matters including the cost, you may as well put it off until you are ready to take it off.
