Calories, Cutting Them, and How

You can think of calories as money, you should spend them wisely. I love Hazelnut Ice’d Lates and Hazelnut Ice Coffees. Keeping the Weight Watchers point system in mind. A Medium 24 oz Hazelnut Ice’d Late is worth 2 points. A 11.05 oz McDonalds Hazelnut Ice Coffee is worth 4 points. Now, it’s a no brainer here to see which is the better deal points wise. I resorted to only getting the Late from Dunkin Donuts even though it costs more than the McDonalds Iced Coffee. For me the Iced Late is not as sweet and tastes better since the Iced Coffees from McDonalds are not always mixed right. I only drink the Ice Coffees now as a treat once in a while. Oh, a large Iced Coffee is about 6 points.

Now from a different bag of sorts, how about a Complete Skillet Meal in a bag. Garlic Chicken Pasta in a bag. About 230 calories per cup / serving. Which comes to 4 points per cup. Not to bad and tastes good. Consists of Rotini Pasta, Broccoli, Corn, Carrots, White Chicken in Garlic sauce. Package has about 5g of Fat, 34g of Carbohydrates and 4g of Fiber per servings. Servings per bag is about 4. We have 3 teenagers with huge appetites, we need 2 bags.

Watching or cutting calories doesn’t have to be painful, but it can be pleasurable. I still get my late and loving it!

Cutting back or compromising can have it’s compensations.
